Icinga is a monitoring system which checks the availability of your network resources, notifies users of outages, and generates performance data for reporting.

The pfSense project is a free network firewall distribution, based on the FreeBSD operating system with a custom kernel and including third party free software packages for additional functionality. pfSense software, with the help of the package system, is able to provide the same functionality or more of common commercial firewalls, without any of the artificial limitations. It has successfully replaced every big name commercial firewall you can imagine in numerous installations around the world, including Check Point, Cisco PIX, Cisco ASA, Juniper, Sonicwall, Netgear, Watchguard, Astaro, and more.

Last time we use a DHCP service in Pfsense but We don't want our router handle heavy staffs, so we install and configure DHCP server for our company.

During COVID19 pandemic we configured VPN for our staffs and students working and accessing our local servers remotely.

PowerDNS is a DNS server program, written in C++ and licensed under the GPL. It runs on most Unix derivatives. PowerDNS features a large number of different backends ranging from simple BIND style zonefiles to relational databases and load balancing/failover algorithms.

Our company needs Help Desk software for our customers, so I got free open source help desk (ZAMMAD) to customize and install it in our local server but we use https and use letsencrypt for our security. Big thank to Open Source !
